Achtergrond
Eckhard is in 1977 beëdigd als Rechtsanwalt in Bielefeld. Naast zijn werk als Rechtsanwalt was hij ook 3 jaar werkzaam als bedrijfsjurist voor een groot Duits Metaalbedrijf. In 1980 heeft Eckhard een aanbod aangenomen om voor 3 jaar als plv. secretaris en hoofd van de afdeling recht en belastingen bij de Duits-Nederlandse Handelskamer in Den Haag te werken, waar hij enige tijd eerder in het kader van zijn Duitse advocatenopleiding al een half jaar stage had gelopen.
Deze functie heeft Eckhard 9 jaar vervuld en naast zijn werk Nederlands recht gestudeerd. In 1994 is Eckhard beëdigd als advocaat. Voor zijn komst naar Ekelmans, heeft hij in Amsterdam bij twee andere gerenommeerde advocatenkantoren gewerkt als Rechtsanwalt & advocaat.
Opleiding
Eckhard studeerde Rechten in Duitsland. Zijn eerste staatsexamen legde hij af in München in 1973. Zijn tweede in Düsseldorf in 1976. In Nederland studeerde hij rechten aan de Rijksuniversiteit Leiden.
